Fernandina Beach Main Street Celebrates Bicentennial Birthday with Grand Celebration, Dining Down Centre

Fernandina Beach Main Street is excited to announce a new event, Dining Down Centre, a bicentennial birthday celebration for the City of Fernandina Beach. The festivities will take place on January 1, 2025, from 2 p.m until 4p.m. This event is the culmination of a year-long community-wide bicentennial celebration involving more than 30 local organizations.

The City of Fernandina Beach was incorporated on January 1, 1825. Fernandina Beach Main Street, in partnership with the City, will host this epic community birthday party for nearly 1,000 attendees. While tickets for tables and dining are sold out, you are invited to join us at this once-in-a-lifetime bicentennial celebration. There will be a program with music, speakers from the City, historical characters from the Amelia Island Museum and the Fernandina Beach Pirates. All are welcome to enjoy three bicentennial backdrops for commemorative photos.

Dining Down Centre will have a line of 90 beautifully decorated tables between Front Street and 4th Street where the community can come together for a special event filled with food, fun, and celebration. Restaurants participating in Dining Down Centre include AIBC the Tavern, Arte Pizza, Baba’s Mediterranean Grill, The Boathouse, The Crab Trap, First Love Brewing, Happy Tomato, Hofbrau Amelia, Mason’s Lobster Roll, Meal Ease Market, Patio on at 5th and Ash, Salt Life Food Shack, Timoti’s Seafood Shack, and Wicked Bao. The Amelia Island Museum will be on-site to stamp your City of Fernandina Bicentennial Passport. If you have been collecting stamps throughout the year, bring your passport to their tent located at Front Street and Centre Street to enter a raffle for a Fernandina 200 Gift Basket. The city will unveil new landscape design at the Welcome Depot courtesy of The Greenery. A time capsule will also be on display at the event.

Dining Down Centre is co-sponsored by the City of Fernandina Beach. Special thanks to our Founder’s Club Sponsors, the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau, RYAM, and The Greenery, and our Golden Amelia Sponsors, Fernandina Beach Pride and Florida Public Utilities.
