The Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market presents over 40 booths of artisan foods, freshly baked breads, seasonal produce, and more. Come to shop or come to socialize, the market features live, local entertainment, a Booth With a Cause, and an abundance of smiling faces.

Artrageous Art Walk
Second Saturday of every month

Historic Downtown Fernandina Beach

On the 2nd Saturday of each month, participating art galleries host free art events. Residents and tourists alike can enjoy the various types of art that each gallery has to offer as well as meet the artist. Photography, pottery, copper, metal, fused, as well as stained glass, watercolors, acrylics, oils and batik are just a few of the varied media you can expect to see.

This sister to the farmers market is an arts and crafts market open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. Look for the market to be open every Saturday in December.

The 33rd Annual Taste of Amelia – “A Culinary Crawl”

Culinary tasting tour of historic Downtown Fernandina Beach with a small sampling from a variety of participating venues. Tastes will include everything from appetizers to dessert. Tickets are $40, plus any applicable service fees and include 2 drink tickets. Registration opens at 2:00

All proceeds will benefit the Rotary Club of Fernandina Beach’s scholarship program.

Christmas Tree Lighting – Community Family Holiday Music Seasonal

Join the City for a FREE Christmas tree lighting celebration. Music by the Nassau Community Band with performances by the Royal Amelia Dancers. Take photos with Santa and the Fernandina Beach pirates, Food, drinks, and gifts on sale, Activities begin at 2:00 pm and the lights are turned on at 6:00 pm.

Comedy/Mystery
It’s Christmas Eve at the Connecticut mansion of actor William Gillette, famous for playing Sherlock Holmes on Broadway. When there is foul play, his holiday houseguests all become suspects, and Gillette and the local police inspector match wits to solve the crime and restore good cheer. Rated PG-13

Dickens on Centre
December 8 – 10, 2018
Travel back in time during the fourth annual Dickens on Center festival in historic, downtown Fernandina Beach. Free to the public, this Victorian inspired holiday festival is as fun as the dickens for entire family. Enjoy costumed characters, themed entertainment and performances, visits from Saint Nick, and a variety of vendors selling seasonal gifts and wares. Inspired by Charles Dickens’ novella “A Christmas Carol,” Dickens on Centre transforms downtown Fernandina into a classic English village, sure to enliven your Christmas spirit. So grab your top hat, fasten your bonnet, and wander and wonder through a true Victorian Christmas on Amelia Island during the spectacular Dickens on Centre.
